Sunday miscellany

Woo hoo! Some time recently my blog went over 25,000 hits! To infinity and beyond!!!

Bah. It seems that Elisabeth picked up her first bad cold when we went for our photo shoot on Friday. She wasn't near the other little kids in the photo place - it's probably from playing on the germy baby rides in the mall that we employed for a few brief minutes of non-screaming entertainment. This morning she refuses to eat or drink a thing. Obviously she doesn't get that behavior from her mother. Sigh. I'll have to keep a close eye on her so she doesn't get too dehydrated, poor thing.

We've got a warmer day today - high of 48*F. I'm not too sore from the half marathon yesterday - I'm debating about going out for a short run. I don't believe that doing heavy duty back-to-back training days is the best way for an older runner to get ready for the Goofy challenge. I think it might be more likely to create injury than help performance. But a short run probably wouldn't hurt too much....

*jeanne* posted some pretty photos from our half marathon yesterday here.

Nice pics, sorry to hear about the sick one. How long is the Goofy Challenge?

Thanks, she's napping now.

Half marathon on Saturday (plus a 5K that I'm also doing, stupidly) and a marathon on Sunday. Ouch ouch ouch!

Wow, that is a GORGEOUS course! I may sign up for that...next year.

You are doing a 1/2, plus 5, then a marathon, back to back???

OK you ARE a machine!

Yea a PR-way to work through the pain-it's that dogged determination that makes you such a huge asset to the IMFL team-thanks for getting out there and getting it done.
