Is it just me?

Rant warning! I've been taking care of a sick little girl for three days, who is not getting better, so I'm very cranky. But I was just wondering....

I skim-read a lot of blogs these days. Bloglines makes that relatively easy, but even though I'm a fast reader, it's still relatively time-consuming when you have a terabyte of blogs to read every day.

The thing I was wondering is this. Am I the only one around here who reads certain blogs, and thinks to myself, "I am totally convinced that this person is absolutely, positively, certifiably out-of-their-mind WACKO!"??

If you are wondering whether I'm talking about your blog, I probably am.

Of course, many folks may think that when they tune in here, too!

Uh, yeah. Aren't all triathletes crazy?

Especially the ones trying to go 140.3 miles in one day?

;)

Absolutely!!!! Yet, I continue to read them ???? I have gottem more selective lately and have started removing blogs from my feeds if I decided they really are crazy...

Mica - you definitely have a point there!

Heh, Flo, I'll take that to mean that you must not think I'm totally nuts, since you're back again! Whew! :-)

Some of the blogs I read I would agree.

However, if the whole world around you seems crazy, and you feel sane, its probably just you. 8-)

Yay, we are all weirdly, wonderfully made. :)

Oh, and my kids have the exact same goofy hat.

Kewl! I'm just hoping the Goofy hat is big enough for me - I have a huge (some say swollen) head!!

It's Flatman isn't it!!!? :-)

So true!

They wouldn't be so entertaining if they weren't all crazy...

That said, I think we read them to feel a little less crazy ourselves :)

Gosh, Phil, I didn't want to name names, and here you go and blurt it right out.... ;-)

No, most definitely NOT the only one! In fact, those are the ones I go back to, just to see if the person is still crazy!! But I won't link to them if they're really nuts.

I don't do bloglines, it's so much trouble setting it all up! Any secrets?

And is it me, or has blogger been totally WHACKED for days now?

Ohh, it's just "comment envy". Anyone who gets 50+ for a sweet potato root picture deserves a little ribbing.

I KNEW it was Flatman you were talking about! thanks phil!

The blogsites and their "owners" (triathletes)are the only sane things (besides my husband, daughter and working out) in my life right now. I have worked in the public schools for 30 years, and believe me, I can talk about INSANITY! (And it ain't gettin' any better here folks-of course I NEED to retire SOON!) :-)

Oh and Mica...that's 140.6 (six!) :-)
And some people who would consider themselves "normal" commute that mileage in a vehicle to and from work each day...so who is more insane! I would rather cover that distance under my own power thank you very much! :-0

It's all about the sweet potato roots...

Crazy is good..makes u feel that u are saner..or not as crazier...

oh gosh... it's me isn't it. now i am going to be all ocd in my next few posts trying to keep the crazies under wraps. ;)

(seriously, it's not me, is it?)

Are you talking about me??? :-)) p.s...you're the one with the goofy hat..AND..the one that's doing a 1/2 then a full Marathon..the next day..wacko..hmmmm who's wacko here?

nancytoby said...

Shelley may have a point there. And as for WHO I'm talking about, like I said, if you HAVE TO ASK, you're probably right. :-)

Just cause I run in -21 doesn't make me crazy or does it. Actually I thought you were talking about Flatman as well. I like reading some of the crazier ones just for a laugh and they make me almost feel normal.

You need to send me your list of certifiable whackos in an email so I can add them to my list! hehe!
