Columbia Triathlon: quick report

It was a beautiful day!! Perfect weather conditions both years that I've done this event. I'm getting a little faster, but my lack of hill training on an extraordinarily hilly course is still a big limiter! Long report some day. . . .

2006 official times:
SWIM 1500m: 37:23
SWIM TO BIKE TRANSITION: 5:37
BIKE 41 km: 1:44:28 (14.6 mph)
BIKE TO RUN TRANSITION: 2:46
RUN 10 km: 1:14:11 (37:33,36:38 splits)
FINISH 3:44:23

PR and personal course record!
337th/389 women (86%)
4th/4 Athenas over 40

2005:
SWIM 1500m: 48:15
SWIM TO BIKE TRANSITION: 5:36
BIKE 41 km: 1:50:02
BIKE TO RUN TRANSITION: 2:45
RUN 10 km: 1:20:21
FINISH 4:06:58

YEAH!!!! Is that a PR at this distance, even on a hilly course? Look at that swim time. That's GREAT improvement.

Awesome improvement. You knocked, what?, 20 minutes off of last year. I'd call that progress.

C is for congratulations, sounds like an awesome time to me....

Seriously, WAY TO GO on your swim!! That was an excellent time. Aren't you proud? You shaved off over 22 min. from last year. Outstanding!

How do you feel?

Great job! It looks like a perfect day. I would have never signed up for the race after hearing that report of snakes on the swim exit! Can't wait for the race report.
