Our outside pets

The robin's nest and prospective quadruplets in the holly tree at the corner of our house:

The devil squirrel, back for more mischief! I thought hanging the birdhouse on a narrow tiny branch would deter her, but alas, no:

That picture of the squirrel is hilarious! I got one of those seed covered birdhouses for Christmas and I suspect it was cleaned off the same way.

My dad sits out on the back deck and squirts the squirrels with water guns so that they stay out of the bird food!

Those eggs are gorgeous!

We had 4 baby birds (maybe sparrows?) in a nest in a bush right outside our sliding glass doors in Gambrills. BUT Bill was an OUTDOOR cat then. BAD choice, Mama bird!

Every time Bill noticed the birds (baby birds peeps like CRAZY when they get fed by Mama bird!), we had to lock him in the house until things quieted down, and he let the birdies slip his mind.

Luckily, birds grow up FAST. Those little guys were grown big enough to fly and outta there in almost no time! I watched them leave the nest. I was VERY relieved! :-)

The Robin's eggs are such a beautiful blue color. I have blue egg laying chickens but the eggs aren't that deep in color. It will be exciting for your girls when they hatch!

That is one acrobatic squirrel that lives at your house!
