I found them

Catherine's glasses lost themselves this morning. I searched the house for them, high and low, for two hours. Under the furniture, in the vents, among the couch cushions, nothing. I was fit to be tied, and she was (naturally) no help whatsoever.

This is where I eventually found them.

Well at least it wasn't a bowl of oatmeal...:-)

The glasses photo is way too funny. I have 3 munchkins aged 10 and under, all in glasses. You wouldn't believe the stories I get about where they think they've lost them, or how they have no idea what happened to them when they get broken. My youngest has had glasses since October and is on her third pair. Glad you found them!

I thought that only happened on commercials. Like the one where the grilled cheese sandwich ejects from the VCR...did they come out in one piece?

Hilarious! We've found LR's glasses in lots of places, but that's a new one! Yes, toddlers like looking with you, but they really have no idea where what you're looking for went :)

A couple of weeks ago I spent a good 30 minutes with a flashlight during fading twilight, searching for her pair that flew off while she was on the tire swing at the park across the street.

For days afterward, she would say when coming in the house, "I'm home from the park! and I have my glasses on!"

Sigh. At least they weren't melting in the heating elements somewhere, right? Yeah, they came out okay. THIS time.

I was looking for change in my wifes ashtray in van. I swore there was about a dozen quarters in it just a few hours earlier. When I asked Mo he said he put them in his bank, which in this case was the cd slot of the radio a few inches from the coins. Yeah we went to the dealership for that one

Now that's a creative hiding place! She should get a gold star for that one! I'd never have found them.

Well, duh! That would have been the FIRST place I would have looked for them! (Just kidding of course...did she give you ANY clues? If not, you are one smart momma!)

She picked a safe and handy-dandy place to store her glasses for sure! Either that or she was trying to get a better look at the movie.

I'm with comm on the car CD thing. We went through that a few years ago($$). My kids hide MY glasses - of course I can't see well enough to find them...

Congrats Nancy, speaking as the father of two wonderful boys, you have reached the "it's fun to put stuff into the VCR" stage. :D Only exceeded in sheer heart stopping delight by the "look how many places I can hide PlayDoh" stage.

nice. I had glasses since age 3, and I still sometimes hide them in the VCR. :P

I almost fell off my chair laughing when I read that one...lol. Kids will be kids. Maybe she thought it would improve the picture quality.

Hahaha! Too funny! :)

I guess you can only kidproof your house so much. Who'd have thought?

LOL--That's too funny!

My dad found his out in the backyard once. The Great Dane had taken them off the pool deck.
