Anti-semitic cartoon contest!

No, no, not here. Sorry.

But with all this ridiculous brouhaha raging over cartoons (some people just have NO sense of humor) folks in Tel-Aviv have opened up their own anti-semitic cartoon contest. By Jews, for Jews.

"We'll show the world we can do the best, sharpest, most offensive Jew hating cartoons ever published!" said organizers. "No Iranian will beat us on our home turf!"

Prizes will include "the famous Matzo-bread baked with the blood of Christian children."

Being of profoundly irreverent mindset myself, I love it. Please pass the matzo.

You know what Bette Midler says:

"Joke 'em if they can't take a f***!"

In all seriousness, I have the same sense of irreverent humor. There's something about laughing at something really awful that enables you to understand the underlying horrors of real life. Kinda like a spoonful of sugar helping the medicine go down.

Then again, if you'd published a link to cartoons about overweight, middle-aged Episcopalian lawyers, I'd be *pissed*.

Not. :D

Good for them! Unfortunately, I fear the hate-mongers who are deliberately stirring up the cartoon frenzy won't be advertising this contest. It would damage their "spin".
Still, it's a great defensive weapon. Fight by cartoon. May the funny papers win!
