Back from New York!

I'm home, and I finished the New York City Marathon yesterday (although my feet were trashed so I ended up slowly walking in the last 6 miles)! Thanks for watching out for me! Unfortunately the scan doesn't do the medal justice, it's deeply sculpted and didn't all get in focus in the scan. There were 36894 official finishers, so only 2.2% of them finished behind me! But we finished! I'll post a long report when I've recovered a bit, and when I get my mind around the fact I'm actually entered in Ironman Florida a year from now....

Congrats on finishing NYC marathon! I watched the NBC coverage and it looks like SUCH an amazing atmosphere to part of. I have it very high on my list of stand-alone marathons to run and I'll get there someday. Also, congrats to getting into IM Florida. I'm looking forward to reading about your preparation for the next year while I get ready for IM Canada 07.
Later.

Way to go, Nancy! Can't wait for the NY blow-by-blow.

And congratulations on totally losing your mind and signing up for IMFL. There's a fine line between bravery and foolishness - I know you will train to stay on the good side of it.

Congrats Nancy. That's a great medal. I saw a pic of it on the TV. What an amazing feeling it must have been to be in the massive crowd. Was that your hand I saw waving???

Ironwwoman Nancy has a very nice ring to it. Good luck with your training.
