Unfortunately "my" professional cyclist Ivan Basso didn't win the Giro d'Italia, but he did overcome some tough situations and illness and stayed in the fight for a stage win and finished in 28th place. Hopefully this will be a positive step in his preparations for the Tour de France in July.
