~ The unlikely saga of a middle-aged mom of twin second-graders and an Athena triathlete ~
What an awesome picture!
how far is that swim? it actually looks like fun - at least from the comfort of my own couch - lol
You are are the lady who swam through schools of jelly fish. I find it hard to believe that a little cold water and some sharks would concern you.
That's the swim I'm making in June. Why, oh, why oh why. I blame FeLady for making it sound like fun!Lisa - it's 1.5 miles.Nancy - ditto what al said about the jellyfish. I don't know how you did that. I would have shot straight up out of the water and flown back to shore.Last up - no sharks in that part of the bay (although my swim is known as Sharkfest)
Is FeLady in there? Cool pictures.
No sharks in that part of the bay? What, do they put up a "no sharks allowed" sign???I've heard that in the olden days (1700s) they had sharks all the way through the Chesapeake Bay, they're just not very common now.
The water is actually a nice bluish-green and no, there aren't sharks, but it makes for great stories! (It was THIS BIG!!!!)Temps hover from 58-62...cozy in a wetsuit! >(((@>(That's a shark!)
LOL! Love your shark!Hard to recognize which swim cap is yours in the water, though.... just before you're dragged under....At least jellyfish can't bite off your leg.
