Brain dead

There are some days I just feel like a dummy. Today, like usual on Tuesdays, we got our grocery delivery from Peapod. Usually it's great - sure beats taking two little wild toddlers into the store! But today, the lettuce was past the expiration date, the milk expires in only two days, and the yogurt had leaked. So I fired off a complaint email to Peapod Central.

Only to realize about a half an hour later that I had been looking at the wrong date on the calendar. It's only the 7th, not the 14th, dumb*ss. I had to go back and send them an email full of humble pie. Duh.

So then I had to indulge in a little retail therapy to improve my mood. I bought a couple WEBCAMS! Woo! When we get them set up the girls can talk to their Daddy online when we're in different places. That should be fun! The girls love to listen to Daddy on the phone, but they haven't figured out that they need to actually make some kind of sounds back into it to keep up their side of the conversation. This way they can at least wave to him, or something. It will be fun!

And no, I'm not going to put a live webcam link up on my blog. That would be just too horrifying a spectacle, even though I do usually wear more than just a Speedo and goggles at the computer.

Wow! Mid-70s are in the forecast for the weekend! That will feel wonderful! But for now, it's back to the bike trainer with me, after a whole day of total goofing off.

You could at least let us watch the girls for you!

There you go! I could lock them in the padded room with the webcam. Then go for a five hour ride. Cool!!!!
