Getting dressed for the Big Dance

First, the good news: I finally (after over two weeks!) slept through the night without waking up EVEN ONCE to hack and cough and all that nasty stuff. Hooray!! I guess the half marathon blew the carbon out of my lungs, or something.

Next: Today was the day I started getting Buttercup ready for her Date With Destiny on November 4th. Partly due to the good advice of multiple-IRONM4N Shelley, partly to get myself psyched, and partly to get Buttercup psyched, she got a new set of inner tubes, a new set of bright yellow Continental 4000 tires, AND a new Dura-Ace chain. Along with a good cleaning. She is feeling SO GOOD SO GOOD SO GOOOOOD now!!

And YES, I did it all myself. You shouldn't have to ask!!

i'm impressed Nancy, how do you find the time? BTW how long did that take?

Maybe an hour or 90 minutes, altogether, combined with looking for tools, feeding my girls dinner, finding the tools the girls wandered off with, cleaning the bike, etc....

Nuthing like colour coordinated tyres. That's why my bike is black. :)

So how's the new chain - slicker shifting now?

The continentals, are they steel beaded? That could make them tough to change...

Pol-R Express is jealous. It just got moved from the garage to the basement. But it does like it's new CycleOps Mag+ trainer. They're getting to know each other better, this week.

Of course, now, the Pol-R Express will point out that you've put TWO sets of yellow tires on Buttercup, while it's had none. Perhaps it will get its wish if the trainer is hard on the current wheels.
