I live in Michigan and yes, it is hilarious they cancelled school for that little snow. We have several feet on the ground. But we all need a "snow day" now and then. Hope you enjoyed the day!
Just enough snow to eat off a bush! I love it...yeah, when it snowed here, that's the first thing I did! Eat some! Really! (Just make sure it's not yellow!)
Hey, I live in Singapore and I am shocked that they closed school for that bit of snow.
I used to sit by the radio waiting for the "school's closed" announcements when it snowed in Vancouver. But my university was NEVER closed due to snow in all those years I was there. I still don't like snow plows.
When my daughter was here from NJ last week, she couldn't believe how we all went about doing our business in the middle of a big storm, saying that at "home" people just stay home and everything shuts down. So I guess we are immune to the stuff.
Cute pictures...Redfish (my 2 year old) is convinced that your girls are his cousins playing in the snow. After I tried to explain 3 times that they weren't I gave up...so now you guys are family.
Whoa! That much snow and you still have Internet service? I'm sure the entire east coast is shut down with that kind of snow. Having spent 7 years in Virginia Beach, VA, I know why, too.
I think our accumulation for the past two weeks is somewhere betwee 15 and 18 inches.
Love the pictures! Do all your supermarkets become packed at the mere threat of snow like they do in Richmond (yes, you better get that bread because the snow may be around for a whole 24 hours before melting!)?

As a midwesterner, that is just considered a light dusting. We have feet of sticky snowman snow. BTW, love the lawn ornament post below :)
Cool fun!
Unreal that you had a snow day! If we can WADE through it, we go to school.

That's wonderful! We could use some more cousins, actually!! :-)
I think the no school thing is funny too. Growing up in Chicago I think we had our first snow day when we got 24 inches....
I think we have that much snow left still here in Calgary, after several days of above freezing temps.
