Well, certainly lazy. I was planning for a long run this past weekend and I'm still waiting for THAT to happen.
And it hasn't made me any thinner. I'm eating more to compensate. And "reward" myself. And console myself when I'm sore. (The grilled steak and portabello mushrooms last night were magnificent, by the way).
And slow? Well, the numbers don't lie. Three one-mile repeats on the track today:
11:11
11:49
11:26
At this rate I'll be doing GREAT if I do that last half marathon run at Eagleman in anything under 3 hours.
Whatever it takes! I'll get there when I get there. Just as long as they still have a medal waiting for me at that finish line....

Vigo had better have a medal for you! By the way ... did you get your Columbia medal yet?
I told Jim that I "AM" going to Eagleman since it looks like treatment will be pushing our vacation plans back a few days .... Where do I sign up for the "Nancy Toby" Cheering section?
Wish I could be there...had I not signed up for Muskoka, I would have been there with ya!!! Well another year. I think all the bloggers should make next years eagleman a little "get together" as well as IMFLA!! That would be fun!!!
I'm up for an Eagleman get-together ANY year!! The race site is about 45 minutes from my front door!
Relentless Forward Progression - I've remembered that more than once since you said it. It's gotten me through some scrapes. You're going to be fine! I can't wait for the details - you'll be a half-iron maiden before me ;)
Woohoo, party at Nancy's house. How many can you sleep comfortably???
Goota have that medal!
I'd be thrilled with that track workout, really. Those types of numbers haven't crossed my stopwatch in a year.
Go Nancy!
Point taken, Linae - slow is always relative! FOR ME I'd like to see mile times about a minute per mile faster - but I might be able to do that if I were well-rested. Time to taper!!
Getting there is all that matters.
