26 weeks

Here's what my first 26 weeks of 2006 looked like, in training hours per week (starting at the bottom and working up). A fairly steady increase, except for two dips around the time of the Columbia (Olympic-distance) Triathlon and Eagleman half Ironman. Yes, my training hours decline around a big race, which is the reason I'm not doing any marathons this year, except for the Goofy Challenge last January. And the Ironman Florida run in November, if I get that far. The rest of my weeks this summer are going to have to look a lot like that topmost week in order to be ready.

So far no overuse injuries threatening, knock on wood, and I've managed to avoid the bad luck of the accidental kind so far, hopefully to continue!!

Nancy, is that in Excel? If so, would you be willing to send a blank copy of that file? I have a file I use for running, and need to start tracking everything.

With my current schedules, the likelihood of my putting a file together is zero. I'd greatly appreciate it. You can get the address off my profile, or it's tjamr_wi @ yahoo.com (less the spaces).

Love that graph! What product are you using for that?

I really admire you for managing all of that training while raising young twins. Can't be easy! Not that training is ever easy but the juggling - that's hard.

It's Excel, yeah. It's my own log that I've added to over the years, but it's fairly messy. Here's one that would be a lot neater:

Awesome Nancy, you are so organized! What a great way to analize your progress. Never heard of the Goofy Challange before. It sounds insane, but fun in perverse sort of way. (or maybe that's just me since i really struggle with running)
