Kayak names?

OK, this is an I-need-suggestions post.

We've got twin kayaks arriving here any day now. Since every seafaring vessel needs a name, I'm looking for ideas!!

BIKE and RUN seem too obvious. . . . or Triathlete Escort Vessels I and II. . . .

My husband wants to name them after my girls, Empress Elisabeth and Empress Catherine.

Your creative ideas?

They're 14 feet long and a red-to-yellow "sunrise" coloration, if that matters.

Of course, it might be appropriate to name them Sunrise and Sunset, except that song makes me cry every time:

Is this the little girl I carried?
Is this the little boy at play?
I don't remember growing older
When did they?
When did she get to be a beauty?
When did he get to be so tall?
Wasn't it yesterday
When they were small?

Sunrise, sunset
Sunrise, sunset
Swiftly flow the days
Seedlings turn overnight to sunflowers
Blossoming even as we gaze

Sunrise, sunset
Sunrise, sunset
Swiftly fly the years
One season following another
Laden with happiness and tears

What words of wisdom can I give them?
How can I help to ease their way?
Now they must learn from one another
Day by day

What about some Native American names, like Sakajowija and Pokahontas?

You think you lack creativity - the only thing I can think of is K1 and K2. Suweet!

Or Fire Ball and Hot Tamale - 'cause I love candy.

how about Frick and Frack?

Or Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum?

Eeyore and Tigger?
Pooh and Tigger are out unless you are keen on saying things like "How about you bring Tigger and I'll take (a) Pooh?"

Romulus and Remus?

napoleon and josephine?

OK, how about naming them after the parents, not the kids... include both parents. Fly and Tri. Or go with Steve's idea, Sunrise and Sunset.

thing one and thing two?

you could name them the names I used to tell people I would name the girls when they were en utero - chang and eng

(subtle, I know - but I did get tired of everyone asking what I would name them)

I was trying to get creative and look to see what Kayak backwards was and wow, it's Kayak. That's a palindrome. Hmmm, maybe you could name one Palin and the other Drome.

Yin and Yang.

Fred and Wilma.

Peanut Butter and Jelly.

If you want me to keep them coming I can.

Daybreak and Twilight?

I liked the idea of the Sound and the Fury there for a minute, until I looked up the Faulkner's book description. Enh, maybe not.

Passion and Serenity?

Love Ellie's suggestion of Tri and Fly.

Of course, since you did buy them with the girls in mind, naming them after them works too.

I'm an anagram nerd... if you add all the letters from Catherine and Elisabeth, you can pick and choose a couple of cool names:

Heartbeat & Reliance
or Reliance and Resilience
