I got a call today and two new kayaks will be on their way Monday (I hope!) and they're sending a truck to take these two back. All I have to do is re-wrap them. I'm disappointed that we can't use them right away after waiting 5 weeks to the day for delivery, but they're doing the right thing to correct it. Hopefully this will be a final solution. The vendor (Cabela's) is simply the middleman for the manufacturer (Old Town Canoe Company in Bangor, Maine), from whence they ship direct, so I really can't fault them. Yet.
Another 4.5 miles slow slog on the roads today. My right metatarso-phalangeal joint is hurting in a way that has me fairly concerned. It doesn't hurt when I'm actually running, but it hurts like a mofo when I push on it. So I just try not to push on it. I'm smart that way.

Well, I'm glad to hear the kayaks will be replaced.
Hope the joint feels better fast!
