Observing Veterans Day

This Time photo essay "Men of War" is worth a look.

As Dwight D. Eisenhower directed us, ". . . let us solemnly remember the sacrifices of all those who fought so valiantly, on the seas, in the air, and on foreign shores, to preserve our heritage of freedom, and let us reconsecrate ourselves to the task of promoting an enduring peace so that their efforts shall not have been in vain."

First thank you for the veterans post. I appreciate it.

Second to comment on a couple of posts.

My swim workouts really improved in consistancy when I got the book Endurance swim workouts. Its about $20 but great stuff. I started with Set B all the way for the first 13 workouts and now working on set A.

If you remember I swam past Barney as they pulled him out of the water in 2006. I did not know it was drowning though. As you well recall the water was terrible that day. The worst swim conditions I have ever been in.

While I will continue to swim in mass starts you are privy to my personal issue with USAT right now, still no answer from Huddle....
