Snow day today. Schools closed.
Maybe ONE inch of snow on the ground, not a speck on the streets. You all would laugh if you could see it.
Beautiful sunny crisp day, no clouds in the sky, no wind. I'll be surprised if there's any snow at all left on the ground by 3PM.
Sigh. There goes my planned run today. I'll probably have to bundle the girls up and go to the playground for them to burn off excess energy.
NO RUN FOR YOU, MISSY!

That's funny.
We were visiting family once in NC when they got snow. The entire town paniced - school closed, there wasn't a gallon of milk or a loaf of bread left in the stores. They were prepared to be snowed in for days with less than an inch.
We Wisconsinites laughed and taught the neighborhood kids the joys of making perfect snow angels.
Snow days are great as a kid - but ONLY if there's enough snow for sledding. Otherwise it's just wasted days in the summer. Really the multi-hour delay is teh best of both worlds.
How much did you end up with Nancy? Here in Alexandria we ended up with probably 4 inches. However, schools were not closed.
Sounds like snow days in Tucson..but hey, aren't you back EAST??????
