~ The unlikely saga of a middle-aged mom of twin first-graders and an Athena triathlete ~
Tri-mom Squared, aka The Nancinator: I'm a back of the pack triathlete and a 52-year-old full-time mom of twin first-graders. I struggle with motivation and weight loss but keep plugging away. Since 2000 I've completed in various road races and triathlons somewhere around 22 miles swimming, 1010 miles cycling, and 1269 miles running and walking. It's a start. Probably I'll always be eligible for the Athena body weight competition category (150+), but I'd like to just barely qualify! I have a strong academic and professional background in sports nutrition, exercise physiology, and biomechanics - now it's time to apply it to myself.
