Form drag

Some people are like this when they swim. Long and lean and streamlined, they glide rapidly through the water with minimal effort.

I've concluded that even when my swimming technique is the best I can possibly do - I'm still more like this.

  2. I'm a barge, for sure. I try but my bargelike tendancies will not be suppressed!

  3. Thanks for the smile today. I actually swim behind a guy we've nicknamed "The Barge" and boy is he great for a good draft! And he's fast too.

  6. My husband once said I was like a Mack truck - takes a lot to get me going, but then I can go for the long distance. Not my favorite of his observations, but kind of true.

  7. Ha, love that! Oh to be a sculling shell, unfortunately, I am more tugboat-like.

  8. I have a feeling I would be most like the Titanic (sinking, not huge.) Or a rowboat with only one oar.
