I think this one might have been right before the finish line. It's kind of hard to tell, since the trail looks much the same anywhere you are along it.
I don't have any idea why I'm running like a kung fu fighter.
i was going to post on running efficiency today... probably next WKW... do you swing your arms a lot? do you do cadence/stride work? definite gains there for me. i'm actually thinking of going to get a pro gait analysis
On gait stuff - my professional background (before I became a full-time Mom) was in gait analysis. I think most of what is being propagated by self-styled "experts" concerning gait is baloney, personally. Show me the objective, peer-reviewed research evidence that altering gait by conscious effort results in increased efficiency or enhanced speed at the same level of effort or show me the demographics on injury reduction. So far, I haven't seen any evidence of that type, or anything even close to it.
You made me sing that song! "Everybody was Kung-Fu fighting, those kicks were fast as lightning" there, now did I make you sing it? :)
ReplyDeleteYou look very intense, or maybe you were just running away from the cold?
Hiiiiiieeeeeee YAH!
ReplyDeleteYou look like you're having a great time, though! Way to go!
ReplyDeletedon't be too hard on yourself. I seldom get a running picture I am happy with.
ReplyDeleteBetter than having fists clenched tightly....

ReplyDeleteLooking good ot there Nancinator!
ReplyDeleteso if i run kung fu style i will run as fast as u ?? :)
ReplyDeleteYou have a habit of running with open palms like that. I tend to run with little curled fists, but I try to keep the THUMBS UP! :-)
ReplyDeleteMaybe having your hands open keeps them air-cooled?
Karate chop! :)
ReplyDeleteYou look really strong for it being the end of the race! Nice job! :)
